Bus
Buses are usually cheaper and sometimes even faster than trains. They are run by private companies and frecuently, there may be more than one covering the same route.

Buses departs from "Estación Sur de Autobuses" at Méndez Alvaro s/n
(Subway station: Méndez Alvaro).

However, some companies have their own station such as Auto - Res or La Sepulvedana.

Train
Spanish trains are clean and fast, but usually more expensive than buses.
Renfe is the national railway company.
 
Plane
Domestic flights are served by 3 main airlines: In routes with competition you can get incredible cheap fares (specially with Iberia). Note that Iberia offers are only available at the Spanish version of its site and tickets must be purchased in Spain.

Airport transfers
TAXI

Taxis are the most expensive way to get to the city centre. The price from the airport to the city centre is about 25 euros.

BUS

There are buses from de airport to Avenida de America. Bus #200 from T1,T2 and T3 and #204 from T4.

SUBWAY

The cheapest way to go to the city centre. You can download a map from the official subway site. (Metro de Madrid).

 
Parking:
Public parkings are intended to park just for a few hours and they are quite expensive (about 27 euros per day).

Use the public transportation when you come to the city centre.
